Near North students offer $33,049 worth of hope for Haiti

The Near North District School Board is known for its compassionate and caring staff, so when disaster struck Haiti our students and staff had no difficulties rising up and working together to help others in need.

Schools across the district held craft shows, penny drives, concerts, bake sales and many other events all with one purpose – Helping Haitians!

In total the students and staff of the Near North District School Board raised an outstanding $33,049!

The Near North District School Board is thrilled by the response of our schools. The actions of our students exhibit a responsibility to their global community, and a true understanding of the virtues of the NNDSB’s Character Education traits woven into the day to day curriculum.
