Mayor's Trust donates to Packsac Smiles

Packsac Smiles was all smiles this week as they received a $650 donation from The Mayor's Trust -- United Way. This is the 6th year of operation for Packsac Smiles and they are hoping to sponsor 150 children for the September 2010 school year. Each packsac costs $130 to outfit and The Mayor's Trust has sponsored 5 children again this year. Each sponsored child will receive a backpack filled with clothing and other items they will require to kick off their school year. The children are identified by the local schools and information specific to each child is provided to Packsac for shopping purposes.

Packsac Smiles congratulates The Mayor's Trust for donating for the second year. Chairperson Darlene Tripp commented "We have many needy families living in the North Bay area and we can make a difference. Any donation you are able to provide us will be greatly appreciated".

Mayor Vic said "It's wonderful to be able to help out 5 more kids this year -- this really makes a difference in their lives".
