Time is running out for nominations to the Nipissing District Human Rights Hall of Fame.

“The deadline is February 26,” says Don Curry, Executive Director of the North Bay & District Multicultural Centre. “Submissions can be emailed to me at [email protected] and they should provide sufficient detail as to why the nominee should be inducted into the human rights hall of fame.”

He said a panel of judges from the organizing committee of the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination project will select a winner from the nominations. Someone will be inducted to the hall March 24 at the 22nd annual Evening of Applause at Ecole secondaire publique Odyssée.

The event is organized by all four school boards, Canadore College, Nipissing University, Nbisiing Secondary School and the multicultural centre.

Photos of the Hall of Fame members are displayed outside the library at Canadore College and Nipissing University.
