Traffic stop takes $45,000 worth of pot off the streets

Powassan – Officers with the North Bay and Powassan OPP were conducting general patrol on Highway 11 south of Powassan on the afternoon of February 4, 2010. A traffic stop was initiated and has a result approximately $45,000 of suspected cannabis marihuana was seized.

Both occupants, Kevin IVANY, 35 years old, of Hagersville and Cameron PRAGNELL, 33 years old, of Norfolk County are charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, s. 4(1) CDSA and with Possession of Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, s. 5(2) CDSA.

Both were released on a Recognizance of Bail with a court appearance scheduled in North Bay for April 20, 2010.
