Police recover $40,000 worth of narcotics

On the 4th of Feb. a local pharmacy failed to receive a shipment of narcotics and consequently reported this to the North Bay Police Service.

Csts Penny Kerr and Dan Weber of our Service then attended a residence and arrested a male in relation to this incident.

Most of the narcotics were recovered at the scene and the remainder was located in a local dumpster. The medication consisted of fentanol patches, oxycocet, oxycontin and percocets with a street value of just under $40,000.

Nicholas HEINDL 22 years old of No Fixed Address is charged with Theft, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and several counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance. He was kept in custody for a bail hearing.
