If you take one curious little girl add in three Cheshire Cats, some flashy costumes, a dozen catchy songs and a sprinkle of snappy dance numbers you would have Dreamcoat Fantasy Theatre's latest stage success Alice in Wonderland.

Returning to their roots this year the troupe opted out of a family production to return to their focus of theatre for children. So for the past several months Director Cheryl Gould and 87 elementary kids (grades 3-8) have been rehearsing the Disney classic which is now in production at the Capitol Centre.

Gould, with the assistance of choreographer Krysten Griffith, and vocal coach Suzanne Charette and Ray Gauthier, has transformed the Capitol Centre stage into a delightful wonderland where a curious Alice falls into a madcap adventure.

Both Emily Hawton and Chloe Carriere give outstanding performances as Big and Little Alice as she chases the White Rabbit, races the Dodo Bird, gets tied up with the Tweedles, raps with a bubble-blowing Caterpillar, and beats the Queen of Hearts at her own game. Also putting in a don't miss vocal performance is Emily Clayton in the role of the Walrus.

Tickets are still available for the evening performances on Friday, January 29th and Saturday, 30th. Tickets for evening performances are $15.00 each and can be purchased at Creative Learning or at The Capitol Centre box office.
