On January 25th 2010, members of the Ontario Provincial Police, Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, Drug Enforcement Unit, North Bay assisted by members of the North Bay Police Service executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant at a North Bay residence.
Cocaine and Cannabis marihuana with a potential street value of over $5000.00 was seized. Two (2) persons were arrested and charged.

The OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, Drug Enforcement Unit, North Bay, is a joint-forces organization comprised of members of the Ontario Provincial Police, North Bay Police Service and Anishinabek Police Service.

Charged and released via Promise to Appear with Undertaking:


1.Alex TORRES, (age 37 yrs), of North Bay.

Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act – 2 counts (Cocaine, Cannabis marihuana).
Breach probation order, contrary to section 733.1 of the Criminal Code.

2.Frederick ROY, (age 28 yrs), of North Bay.

Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act – 2 counts (Cocaine, Cannabis marihuana).
