The students at Alliance French Immersion Public School have been busy doing their part to help the earthquake victims in Haiti.

Last week the students stepped up and in a short 72 hours, the families of Alliance Public School donated over 400 pairs of gently used shoes in a shoe drive help out.

Alliance teacher Alyson Roynon says the shoe drive is in conjunction with the national shoe drive sponsored by Soft Moc.

"The shoes will be delivered to Haiti in a timely manner," notes Roynon.

"Students are also being challenged to bring in a week's worth of their allowance for a fundraiser to benefit the Canadian Red Cross and their efforts to help in Haiti."
