Franco-Nord continues to provide full-day Kindergarten

All of Conseil scolaire catholique Franco-Nord’s elementary schools will continue to offer full-day Junior and Senior Kindergarten in the 2009-2010 school year. The Board has made this service available for several years and has had the opportunity to observe its positive influence on student achievement.

According to Cynthia Roveda, Director of Education, “Conseil scolaire catholique Franco-Nord can testify to the importance of full-day kindergarten because it has been offering it in all of its schools for the past several years. In light of the recent announcements, we want to reassure our parents that we will continue to offer this service to all of our Junior and Senior Kindergarten students. The new government initiative will make a difference in how kindergartens are funded. It will also improve services before and after school. The fact that it is full day does not represent a change for our students and their parents.”
