Local business man charged with 6 counts of fraud

The charges against Michael PEDWELL were all withdrawn in North Bay Court.

Det. Cst. Denis Levasseur of the North Bay Police Service completed his investigation into an alleged fraud involving a local business.

It is alleged that an individual running a business called “Docks by Design” accepted several deposits but never supplied the product. Consequently the North Bay Police Service became involved in investigating the matter.

On the 5th of Jan. 2010 the officer culminated his investigation and arrested one male suspect in relation to these alleged incidents.

Michael PEDWELL 49 years old of Talon Lake Rd. is charged with 6 counts of Fraud, 3 counts of Criminal Breach of Trust and 2 counts of Failing to File Income Tax. He is scheduled to attend court on the 16th of Feb.
