Highway Traffic Act fines have increased

The North Bay Police Service wishes to advise the motoring public that effective Jan. 1 2010 several sections of the Highway Traffic Act will have increased fines.

Some of these sections are:

Seat Belt violations increased from $110. to $200.

Red Lights increased from $180. to $260.

Failing to pull over for emergency vehicles $110. To $400.

The MTO accumulation of demerit points will stay the same.
