On Thursday the Junior and Senior Kindergarten students form Alliance ventured down to Chippewa Secondary High School to deliver their food drive donations for the joint holiday food drive.

About 100 students braved the cold to load their sleds and then the senior French Immersion students joined with them for the walk and invited them in for hot chocolate and French Christmas carols.

Chippewa has been collecting for the Salvation Army Food Bank for over 28 years.

Adding to the drive the new grade 7/8 students held a dance, a full school classroom competition and a concert featuring Odnammoc with the proceeds going to the drive. All the events were led by Chippewa Student Council with direction from grade 12 French Immersion student Thomas Seguin.
