H1N1 and seasonal flu vaccine available at Health Unit

The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit continues to offer both H1N1 and seasonal flu vaccine.

Anyone wanting to receive their H1N1 or seasonal flu shot over the next two weeks, can book an appointment at the Health Unit by calling 474-1400 or 1-800-563-2808, ext. 2377. Your health care provider may also provide both flu shots.

At this time, levels of H1N1 influenza activity continue to decrease in our district and there is no seasonal influenza circulating. However, the influenza season is not over yet. In Canada, influenza activity normally lasts all winter. The World Health Organization also reports H1N1 continues to be active around the world.
