Police seize $1.2 million in Thunder Bay search By Kate Adams BayToday.ca Friday, December 04, 2009 OPP News Release

Ontario Provincial Police; Thunder Bay Police Service; Royal Canadian Mounted Police; Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service joint investigation.
Thunder Bay - Members of the Ontario Provincial Police Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau with the assistance from the OPP Northwest Region, Thunder Bay Police Service, Royal Canadian Mounted Police and Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service executed a search warrant on a residence located on Mapleward Road.
Police searched the home, property and outbuildings and located 120 grams of cocaine, 50 ecstasy tablets, 454 grams of marihuana and 2 grams of cannabis resin with a total estimated street value of $22,000.
In addition, approximately $1,200,000.00 dollars was discovered inside a buried container. The cash and a prohibited weapon were seized by police.
Charged are:
Marcel BRETON age 44 of Thunder Bay 3 Counts- Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking Possession of a Controlled Substance Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000.00 Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon
Joseph TIMMERMANS age 24 of Thunder Bay 3 Counts- Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking Possession of a Controlled Substance Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000.00 Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon
Both men are being held in custody pending a bail hearing. The investigation is continuing.
