Sudden death at Chippewa Creek

North Bay Police Service, Paramedics & Fire Department responded to a report of 41-year-old-male, in the waters of Chippewa Creek, in Thompson Park, behind Memorial Gardens on Chippewa West, in the City of North Bay, at approximately 1:00 pm today.

Emergency Services transported this male to North Bay Hospital, Scollard Site, following attempts at resuscitation. The male was pronounced deceased shortly after 2:00 pm today and no cause of death has been determined. The deceased cannot be identified until notification of Next-of-Kin.

Cst. Bruce Whitehead, of the patrol section is investigating this death. No foul play is suspected.
