Peacebuilding lecture at Nipissing

Nipissing University is pleased to welcome Dr. Alistair Edgar to campus for a special lecture, titled Truth, Justice, and Reconciliation: Peacebuilding in Cambodia, Kosovo and Uganda.

The lecture takes place on Tuesday, November 24, from 7 – 9 p.m. in the Weaver Auditorium (room B-200).

Edgar is an associate professor in the department of Political Science at Wilfrid Laurier University. His research and teaching interests include conflict resolution and post-conflict peacebuilding, global defence industry and defense trade issues, and the intersection between international politics and international law. He is currently a senior fellow with the Centre for International Governance Innovation and was executive director of the Academic Council on the United Nations System from 2003 – 2008. He is also currently president of the International Jurist Organization, located in New Dehli, India.
