Fifties food establishment, Hoagie’s Diner has taken the classic retro photography created by local artist Scott Johnson, and teamed up with the North Bay District Hospital Foundation to raise funds.

The project has been in development for the past three months. “We have created a series of promotions and merchandise items to give our customers something of real value, something to give as a gift or keep yourself”, says Tim Kuntz, store operator.

The Diner will be offering a classic retro coffee mug promotion, which includes a 5 FREE coffee club card. Also being sold are collector postcards in both black and white and colour, with the NORTH BAY city name headlined at the bottom. A souvenir fridge magnet is also available, and more items like t-shirts will be added in the spring of 2010.

“We were excited when Hoagies Diner came to us with the classic 50’s merchandise fundraising concept, its quality, and it’s fun for everyone!” Vicky Sutherland, Business Development, North Bay District Hospital Foundation.

Lois Krause, Executive Director of NBHF stated, “This is a unique concept, and we are honoured that Hoagie’s Diner chose our foundation as the beneficiary, we hope the community enjoys the fabulous fun of the 50s!”

All items feature the photo with 50’s cars supplied by local antique car club owners in front of the Landmark Diner.
