Victim Services of Nipissing District (known as VCARS) is hosting a major fundraising event on Saturday, February 13, 2010: Nipissing District’s first “Dancing with the Stars” evening, proudly sponsored by Dean’s Pharmasave.

Our “Dancing with the Stars” event will take place at the Clarion Resort with six dance couples competing for top honours as Nipissing District’s Best Dancers. Each couple will consist of one professional dancer and one “celebrity”. The dancers will be judged by a set of professional dance judges and the audience. Our distinguished celebrities will be working diligently with their professional partners for the next few months.

“Dancing with the Stars” is a formal gala evening with a sit down dinner. Cocktails start at 6:00 p.m. with dinner at 7:00pm. The dance competition will commence after dinner. There will be a spectacular silent auction taking place all evening with wonderful items to be bid on. Tickets are $100.00 per person.

All proceeds will go to assisting victims of crime and tragic circumstances in North Bay, Mattawa and Sturgeon Falls. A tax receipt for a portion of the ticket will be available the night of the gala. Tickets are expected to sell quickly so be sure to reserve yours by calling 472-2649. They can also be purchased at Pellerin’s Paints at 1143 Fisher Street. Tickets purchased by December 31st will be eligible for a draw for a night for 2 at the Clarion Resort with complimentary brunch, courtesy of the Clarion Resort.
