Search warrant results in several drug related arrests

As a result of a North Bay Police Service investigation into recent circumstances involving the accidental overdose of a male adult within the city, the Street Crime and Drug Unit of our Service executed a search warrant into a North Bay home.

The recent search resulted into a further investigation that resulted in several arrests.

Leonard HOLLETT, 45 years old of Fisher St. is charged with 2 counts of trafficking in Fentanyl and 2 counts of Breach of Probation.

Marquis RAYMOND 29 years old of McIntyre St. E. is charged with 2 counts of Trafficking in Fentanyl and 2 counts of Breach of an Undertaking.

Melanie HAMEL 20 years old of McIntyre St. E. is charged with 2 counts of Trafficking in Fentanyl, Possession of a Narcotic, Possession of Fentanyl and Breach of Recognizance.

Sheila ANDERSON 39 years old of Trout Lake Rd. is charged with Trafficking in Fentanyl.
Mary Ellen JONES 38 years old of Trout Lake Rd. is charged with Trafficking in Fentanyl.

All but Anderson were kept in custody for bail hearings.

Our Service would caution the general public in the misuse of the drug Fentanyl.

This could well result in death or serious bodily harm.
