Mark Ethier took top honours at the first annual Stache Bash November 29, 2008 will he hold on to the title?

A number of community minded men are taking it all off -
their mustaches that is - and then growing it back on for the "Stache Bash" to be held Saturday, November 28 at the Davedi Club, in support the North Bay and Area Community Foundation.

Foundation Chair and former Mayor of North Bay Jack Burrows is delighted with the support so far and is looking forward to seeing more volunteers step up to the plate to raise pledges for the community fund.

In preparation for this Monday, November 2nd's official start to growing season, Gerry Martin, 2008 winner Marc Ethier, CFB's Gilles Larouche and City Councillor Chris Mayne were all shorn by barber John Joe Vendetti at Ranney's Hairstyling.

Not only did men get in to the spirit of the event in 2008 at least 5 women sported their best fake facial hair (photo in gallery) and got in on the action.

Pledge forms can be picked up at the Nugget, Chamber of
Commerce, Burrows and the Moose. Pledgees who bring in at least $100 in pledges will be eligible to win a trip for two to the House of Blues of their choice in the U.S. including airfare. A number of local businesses are also donating various gift certificates in appreciation of each of the volunteers bringing in pledges.
