Male charged with 4-counts of assault on common-law wife & child

A 26-year-old male is in custody today for an assault against his common-law wife and 13-month old child, yesterday at 1300 hrs.

This male lost his temper with the 13-month old child and when the child’s mother intervened, she was assaulted by being dragged around the house & chocked. She also disclosed an assault of similar nature from August 2009.

This male will be attending a bail hearing this morning, charged with 4-counts of common assault.
