Her work in the HIV/AIDS movement is textbook

Jerri Clout, a student at West Ferris Secondary School has been featured in ‘ON Science 10 textbook’, published by McGraw Hill. Jerri is being recognized for her commitment to HIV/AIDS awareness. This accomplishment follows an ever growing list of achievements.

Jerri has always aspired to make things around her better, and she had dedicated much of her time to make it happen. From an early age Jerri showed compassion for others by having birthday parties forgoing gifts for donations to the Food Bank, Humane Society and the Tsunami relief. She participates in the annual relay for life cancer walk and has donated time to the MS society. But Jerri was given an opportunity to be a part of something bigger when she was asked to co-chair the first annual Run/Walk 4 Patrick, an organization dedicated to AIDS Education to which she has donated over 300 hours.

Jerri’s impressive list of accomplishments includes: Recipient of Youth In Motion’s Top 20 Under 20 (file photo shown) in Canada, 2008. Recipient of the Chamber of Commerce Student of the Year, nominated by the Honourable Monique Smith, MPP 2008 Recipient of Rotary’s Student’s Service Above Self Award 2009 First Class Honours in Grade 8 Piano, with the Royal Conservatory of Music, 2008 Attendance at the Canada Wide Science Fair in Vancouver, British Columbia, 2005 Chairman’s Award for Robotics Canada March 2009 Historia’s Encounters with Canada March 2009 Nipissing Business Challenge Bowl, 1st place, May 2009 Rotary Club’s World Affairs seminar June 2009
