City woman charged with dangerous driving

On the 12th of Oct. at approximately 12:30 AM it is alleged that a woman drove an unregistered and uninsured vehicle to a residence on Lakeshore Dr. and along with accomplices stole a licence plate from a parked automobile.
Then as this woman tried to leave she ran into the side of a house. In a further attempt to leave she ran into two porches two homes causing extensive damage to the point that two of her vehicle tires became flat. Her vehicle then left marks on the highway until she stopped it at a nearby hotel parking lot.

Cst. Jason Long and Mark McLeod of the North Bay Police became involved and arrested a female suspect in relation to these incidents.

Rebecca SAMPSON 18 years old of North Bay is charged with Dangerous Driving, Theft Under $5000., Possession of Stolen property and a variety of Highway Traffic Act charges including Fail to Report a Collision and not having any insurance for a motor vehicle. She is to attend court at a later date.

A male companion has been charged with Theft Under and the investigation continues.
