Traffic stop leads to drug charges

North Bay – On Saturday, September 19th, 2009, at approximately 1:00 a.m., North Bay OPP officers were conducting RIDE on Highway 17 in Commanda Township when they stopped a westbound motor vehicle. Upon further investigation, the OPP K9 officer attended the scene resulting in the arrest of the driver for the possession of a controlled substance.

A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of 10 baby food jars containing suspected hash oil and one brick of hash for a total street value of approximately $82,000.

Jason Edward COSBY, 32 years old, of Fort Erie was charged with:

CDSA 5(2) Possession for the Purpose Schedule III as per CDSA s. 5(2)

COSBY is scheduled for court in North Bay on November 16th, 2009.
