Volunteers who care about the health and beauty of Parks Creek are invited to take part in a shoreline clean up September 24, 2009 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, organized by the North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority.

Volunteers can meet at Eva Wardlaw Park on Lakeshore Dr where they'll be provided with all the supplies needed to clean the Parks Creek shoreline from Lakeshore Drive to Marshall Park Drive. The volunteer workday coincides with the TD Canada Trust Great Canadian Shoreline Clean-Up, one of Canada's largest environmental events and one of the biggest shoreline clean-ups in the world.

All equipment needed such as gloves, and garbage bags will be provided, as well as snacks and refreshments. More information is available online at www.nbmca.on.ca or by contacting Troy Storms at (705) 474-5420.
