Gift of Life Walk goes this weekend

Walkers unite to raise awareness of kidney disease and organ donation at annual Give the Gift of Life Walk

WHAT: The North Bay Give the Gift of Life Walk is one of 24 walk events being held across Ontario this September. Dialysis patients and their families, organ transplant recipients and donors in communities across Ontario will unite to bring attention to the issue of organ donation and to raise awareness about the importance of kidney health. The Kidney Foundation of Canada is the national charity committed to reducing the burden of kidney disease. Proceeds benefit patients and their families through patient support programs, research funding and educational initiatives.

WHEN: Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Walk begins at 9 a.m.

WHERE: North Bay’s Lee Park
Our start area is located at Kiwanis Picnic Picnic Shelter at Lee Park. The 4kmwalk will take place on the Kate Pace Way.
