Sudbury – With summer gone and autumn on the horizon, Canadian Blood Services is heading into a new collection season! No matter what time of year, someone somewhere is in need of blood.

North Bay is tasked with collecting 3,564 units of blood this year to help meet hospital demand. We would like to thank North Bay and area residents for their efforts and challenge them to surpass last months’ collections of 215 blood units. Donating blood is a labour of love that can save up to three lives.

The next North Bay blood donor clinic will take place on September 9th from 11 – 2 p.m. and
4 – 7:30 p.m. and on September 10th from 11:30 – 2 p.m. and 4 – 6:30 p.m. at the Elks Lodge – 325 Elks Lane.

Call 1 888 2 DONATE (1 888 263-6283) to book an appointment! If you have booked an appointment to give, and cannot honour it, please call us toll-free to reschedule: 1 888 2 DONATE / 1 888 263-6283. In most cases, a missed appointment could affect up to three lives. Every effort will be made to accommodate walk-in donors, pending appointments already scheduled. There are still many appointments available for September 10th. If you have ever thought about giving, now is an opportune time!
