On September 1st, new principal Danielle Peddle welcomed the students at White Woods Public School. Mrs. Peddle who grew up in the West Nipissing area and returns to Sturgeon Falls after being a principal at Phelps and Laurentian Public Schools in North Bay.

Teachers and Educational assistants were happy to see the new and returning students at WhiteWoods. Though many schools are experiencing declining enrollment, the student population has increased at WhiteWoods.

Students and parents will be treated to an Open House B.B.Q. on Thursday September 10th beginning at 5 PM. Parents and students are invited to tour the school and classrooms and enjoy a welcoming Barbecue of Hamburgers and hotdogs.

A Cookie Dough Fundraiser is beginning soon and the annual Terry Fox Run is scheduled for Friday September 25th.
