Patient escapes from Psyc Hospital

On the 25th of Aug. shortly after 5 PM it is alleged that a patient in the Forensic Ward escaped from the North Bay Psychiatric Hospital on Highway 11 North.

Csts. Vince Corrente and Helen Boissonneault of the North Bay Police received the call and attended the area.
It is further alleged that a vehicle was stolen to facilitate this escape but was left abandoned on Hospital grounds.

The man was arrested a short time later.

Darcy DENOMME 23 years old of Highway 11 North is charged with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Theft Over $5000., Possession of Stolen Property, Mischief Under $5000., Assault, and Operate Motor Vehicle While Disqualified.

He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
