OPP investigating sudden death

Kapuskasing – On Saturday August 22, 2009 shortly after 1pm members of the Kapuskasing Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police were called to investigate a sudden death on Gurney Road approximately 1KM north of Hwy 11 in the Town of Kapuskasing.

Police located a 59 year old deceased male who had been missing since the early morning hours of August 22, 2009. The identification of the deceased is not being released at this time but he has been identified as a Taxi cab driver from a local company in Kapuskasing.

The investigation surrounding his death is being conducted by the Kapuskasing Crime Unit and the Northeast Region Criminal Operations Program, under the direction of Detective Inspector Greg Walton, Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), OPP General Headquarters, Orillia.
