Female charged with arson

This morning at approximately 0600, Cst. Erin Honeysett, of the North Bay Police, while on patrol on Memorial Drive near the waterfront was flagged by Marina Security, reporting a fire at “The Boat”. Attempts to put out the fire with a fire extinguisher had been made by the Marina Staff and North Bay Fire Service was on the scene to extinguish the fire.

Cst. Honeysett ran to The Boat and saved a female who it is alleged, started the fire, removing her to safety. The fire was extinguished with damage only to the outside of “the Boat” estimated to be worth approximately $1000.00.

The suspect was transported to hospital and is being treated for smoke inhalation.

Natalie Weller 28-years-old, of no fixed address in North Bay is charged with Arson.
