Bike thief caught

On the 23rd of July it is alleged that a bicycle was stolen from a residence in North Bay. The owner’s son then called various bicycle business locations within the city to advise them of this loss.

As the father spoke to one store owner he is advised that in fact the bicycle and a male were presently within the store. Cst. Warner of the North Bay Police Service was called and the thief was delayed until the officer’s arrival.

The owner also arrived to identify the bike and the thief was arrested.

Trent COUROUX 18 years old of Marshall Av. E. is charged with Possession of Stolen Property and Breach of an Undertaking. He was kept in custody for a bail hearing.
