Phones out in Rutherglen

The Ontario Provincial Police advise the public of the following telephone outage that is affecting 911 services in the Rutherglen area.

Location: Rutherglen l Bonfield

Detachment area: North Bay OPP

Emergency services will be manning the Fire Station located on Rutherglen Line, Rutherglen (Bonfield Twp.) and will respond accordingly. Members of the public requiring emergency response can do so by attending the Fire Station directly or by dialling 911 from a cellular telephone. Cellular telephone coverage is not affected by this outage.

The Ontario Provincial Police have officers patrolling the immediate area to respond to requests for emergency services. Fire and ambulance services have been notified and are also prepared to respond if required.

Technicians have been made aware of the problem and the public will be advised when the outage has been repaired.
