It's a smooth start to the summer

Mayor Vic helps Haider Family open the new Trout Lake Road Euphoria Smoothies store Saturday.

No it wasn’t a rock concert that had Jennifer Guillemette and friends camping out Saturday morning it was the opportunity to help celebrate the grand opening of Euphoria’s bigger and better Trout Lake store location at 2479 Trout Lake Road.

Guillemette says the opportunity to be one of the 20 people in the door who win a Smoothie every week for the rest of 2009 coupled with a chance to win a brand new laptop computer was something she just couldn’t pass up.

“It’s a great way to start off the summer,” she tells BayToday.

“We just finished exams!”

The opening featured a ribbon and cake cutting ceremony with the mayor, however, officials added a dash of imagination and everyone who came into the shop had a chance to sample the new additions to Euphoria Smoothies’ menu and spin the Smoothie Wheel of Fortune to win special prizes, plus birthday celebrations for Shaun Haider who turned 11.

Sam and Bisma Haider, co-founders of the Euphoria Smoothies, agree the opening was a great way to kick off summer; they also add how pleased they are with how the company is growing having just opened a new store in Sudbury, and eagerly awaiting another store opening in Cambridge by North Bay couple Stacy (Kools) and Greg Springall.

"Euphoria Smoothies is North Bay based and North Bay Proud."

The Haider couple established Euphoria Smoothies in 2004 in North Bay, Ontario and with more than 40 locations worldwide the brand is among the fastest growing smoothies and juice bars in Canada. Each Euphoria store is independently owned and operated. For more information about Euphoria Smoothies, please visit www.euphoria.ca.

The business motto is ‘You Have One Life...Live Euphoric!’ and that is exactly what the Haider family is doing.
