@discoverynorthbay, formerly the North Bay and
Area Museum, is proud to announce that the summer of 2009 will be our busiest summer yet.

"Thanks to funding programs made available through the Canadian Museums Association (Young Canada Works), the Canada Summer Jobs Program and the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund, we have been able to add six positions to our staff over the summer months," said Jennifer Buell, @discoverynorthbay's Director.

"These positions will allow us to extend the hours at the Museum, add activities and events to our summer camps, begin our expanded second season of Downtown Haunted Walks, and move forward with the ongoing organization and cataloguing of the museum archives and collection."

Increasing the level of access that North Bay's citizens and visitors have to our local history and heritage is extremely important. North Bay residents, and guests to the city, are always encouraged to visit Discovery North Bay Museum, located in the historic former Canadian Pacific Railway station at 100 Ferguson Street.

The museum's summer hours are now as follows:

Open Monday and Tuesday: 9:30 am - 4:30 pm

Open Wednesday to Friday: 9:30 am - 8:30 pm

Open Saturday: 10:00 am - 4:30 pm

Open Sunday: 12:00 pm - 4:30 pm
