There is still time to register for Cyber Safety, the final symposium of the Parents as Partners: Learning Together Series hosted by the Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board’s Parent Involvement Committee.

The event, geared to parents, guardians and educators, takes place at 6 p.m. on Monday June 8 at St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Catholic Secondary School. Admission is free and childcare will be provided at no cost. Local businesses and agencies will offer kiosks in the lobby, and a number of workshops will take place following the keynote address by Rob Nickel. Nickel, author of Staying Safe in a Wired World: A Parent’s Guide to Internet Safety, is Canada’s leading expert on cyber safety and has been featured on Dr. Phil and The Oprah Winfrey Show.

“This event is all about the cohesiveness between parents, educators and students,” said Maureen Clout, Chair of the NPSC Parent Involvement Committee. “The Parents as Partners series promotes those partnerships and teaches us how to work together in the best interest of the students.”
To register, call Maryanne Neeley at 472-1201 ext. 242 or email [email protected]. Workshop details and a printable registration form are available at www.npsc.edu.on.ca
