Police caution bears spotted in the city

The North Bay Police Service would like to caution the general public concerning recent bear sightings.
For the past week our officers have spotted bears in the early morning hours in the following locations:
Regina St., rear of Shoppers on Cassells St., and Graham Dr.

At this time food supplies are scarce for bears. We recommend that people not leave garbage out to attract them unnecessarily.

Unless it is an immediate emergency matter where citizens are to call 911, we recommend calling the Ministry of Natural Resources at 866-514-2327.
