Canadore College is holding four of its seven annual Convocation Ceremonies at the College Drive Campus this week. Canadore is very proud of all the graduates for their achievements.

Canadore's priority is to provide relevant programming for our students to excel in their chosen careers. The most recent Key Performance Indicators shows Canadore with an 86.3% Graduate Satisfaction rate and 95.5% Employer Satisfaction rate. There have been over 34,000 Canadore graduates since the College's inception.

Inspiring guest speakers will be addressing the graduates during the Ceremonies.

On May 27 at 10 a.m. Dan Lessard, Host for CBC Radio, will be speaking to 187 graduates from the School of Communication Arts and the School of Law and Justice. Dan joined CBC Radio in Northern Ontario in 1993, and has spent the last decade as host of "Points North", CBC Radio's weekday afternoon program. Dan graduated from Canadore's Broadcasting-Radio program with honours.

On May 28 at 10 a.m. Judy Sharpe, Executive Director of One Kids Place Children's Treatment Centre, will be speaking to 199 graduates from the School of Human Development and Community Services and the School of Information Technology and OAD. Judy has previously been appointed Interim Executive Director for the Northern Shores Children's Treatment Centre by the North Bay General Hospital Board and has also worked as an Instructor for Canadore College's Continuing Education programs.

On May 29 at 10 a.m., Kate Pace Lindsay, Senior Grant Management Consultant with the Anthony H. Kruse Foundation, Olympic athlete, and World Cup Gold Medalist, will be speaking to 197 graduates from the School of Business, the School of Hospitality, Tourism, and Recreation and Leisure Services, the School of Information Technology and OAD and the School of Health Sciences. Kate is a three-time Olympian, two-time World Cup Gold Medalist, two-time World Cup Silver medalist and a two-time World Cup bronze medalist. She currently works with the Anthony H. Kruse Foundation and owns and operates Lindsay Sports Therapy servicing NHL, NFL, and MLB teams.

On May 30 at 10 a.m., Dr. Catherine Whiting, Retired Medical Officer of Health/Executive Officer, will be speaking to 218 graduates from the School of Health Sciences and the School of Access and Preparatory Studies. Catherine served as MOH/EO until her retirement in December of 2008, the first 17 years of which were for North Bay and District and the last three for North Bay Parry Sound District. In the North, she was a founding Board member of the Northern Health Information Partnership, the Northern Diabetes Health Network and the inaugural Chairperson of the Northern Regional Genetics Program Steering Committee.
