Re-zoning approved

A building on Seymour Street, which used to be home to a Bingo Hall and Roller Rink, has been re-zoned from “Industrial Commercial” to “Light Industrial Three”.

Council is making the move so the company Pilot Diamond Tools Ltd. can move into the building; something Councillor Mike Anthony says is a good thing.

“My understanding is it’s a bit of an expansion for them, and means some new jobs as well,” Anthony said.

“When you see some tough economic times and you see a company actually purchase a building – go in there and expand what they’re doing…that’s good news in times like this.”
