Race Against Drugs returns to the Gardens

In celebration of Police Week area schools are participating in the annual Race Against Drugs event at Memorial Gardens this week.

North Bay Police Service has joined with several community partners including the RCMP, North Bay Fire Department, North Bay and District Ambulance Service, North Bay Focus, OPP and other like-minded community groups for the 3-day Race Against Drugs at Memorial Gardens.

The event features area grade 5 and 6 students racing around a number pit stops where community partners demonstrate the effects of drugs, alcohol and other substances on their health and on their lives.

Once the kids complete the course they have the opportunity to race on the miniature racetrack supplied by the RCMP.

The event concludes Thursday.
