Male assaults female at Northgate

Several Officers with the North Bay Police investigated an alleged Assault & Threatening at Northgate Square yesterday at 11:00 AM.

It is alleged a male assaulted a known 43-year-old female in the parking lot at Northgate Square following his becoming upset with the female and another female. The male pushed the female into a car hood, threatened bodily harm, and then returned to punch the female in the head. He then threatened the second female and ran off into the bush area.

Paul Thomas, 48-years-old, of King Street in Powassan, was taken into custody at approximately 12:00 in the area of Connaught Street in North Bay. He is being held for a bail hearing today, charged with 2-counts of Assault and 2-counts of Threatening Bodily Harm.
