Bear Island man charged with uttering death threats

On the 4th of May during the evening hours it is alleged that a man was drinking at a local bar when he began to exchange words with other patrons.

At this time staff asked the man to leave and it is further alleged that he then began to cause damage within the establishment and threatened the staff with death.
Csts. Dan Shepstone and Jeff Warner of the North Bay Police attended and arrested a suspect in relation to this incident.

Arthur James BURNS 40 years old of Bear Island is charged with Mischief Under $5000. and Uttering Death Threats.
He was kept in custody for a bail hearing.
