DIA says cruise event a great success

Forty-two special interest vehicles were on display on Saturday, May 2, 2009 in Downtown North Bay. The vehicles were composed of members of the North Bay Cruiser Club, Northern Disturbance Group, HASC - Nipissing Region and independents. Music was supplied by the 50s, 60s group RELIK. and independents. Music was supplied by the 50s, 60s group RELIK.

During the event there was a PARTICIPANT'S CHOICE awarded to the favourite vehicle as chosen by the members themselves. The 1974 Chevrolet C10 Truck owned by Gord & Lynda Smith were this year's winners. Gord Smith is the past President of HASC - Nipissing Region.

The DIA would like to thank all participants, the DIA Members and those in attendance for making the event a success. Plans are underway for the 2nd Annual DIA Rally of the Cars in May 2010.
