The North Bay Police Service would like to caution the General Public regarding a recent fraud complaint that our Service has received.

The fraud is related to a job posting for a Business Service Analyst for the Madison Group of Mississauga Ontario. The job applicant receives a cheque and is asked to cash the cheque, keeping a small fee. The job applicant is then asked to advance the remainder of the money using the Moneygram Service to a fictitious relative in the U.K.
The public should be aware that theses cheques are fraudulent and will eventually be returned as such and the job applicant will be responsible for the loss with their financial institution.

If anyone has received a fraudulent cheque as a result of this application, they are asked to contact the North Bay Police Service’s Fraud Coordinator Detective Constable Denis Levasseur at 497-5555.
