76-year-old woman charged with impaired driving

On Saturday, April 18th, 2009, at approximately 7:30 p.m., North Bay OPP officers responded to a single motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Corbeil Road and Lavigne Road in East Ferris Township.

When police arrived, the vehicle was located in the ditch and the driver was being checked by paramedics who were on scene.

Jeanne KNIGHT, 76 years old, of East Ferris Township suffered no injuries as a result of the collision. However, she was charged with Impaired Operation and Exceed 80 mg Blood Alcohol Content as per s. 253(1) (a) and s. 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code. KNIGHT is scheduled to appear for court in North Bay on May 19th, 2009.
