Event: PD Day Program: Green Legacy
Date: Friday, April 24th, 2009
Time: 9:00am to 4:00pm
Location: @Discoverynorthbay
Details: Children age 5-12 are invited to participate. The program starts at 9:00am and ends at 4:00pm; however, extended care is available.
During the morning the children will be learning about plant life. The children will get to design and paint their own clay pot for a gardening activity. We will also be doing a number of plant themed activities and games. Parents are instructed to pack a small peanut free snack and lunch for their child for the day, and both indoor and outdoor clothing.
During the afternoon the kids will learn about insects, the importance of recycling. Kids will get to examine some insects, and discover the importance of recycling through educational games and crafts.
Cost: $30 per child for existing members of the museum
$35 per child for non-members
Extended care morning (8:00am) $10 extra
Extended care afternoon (5:00 pm) $10 extra
