The results are in! The Terry Fox Foundation has released school fundraising results from the Terry Fox National School Run Day, last September, 2008. Thirty-six Near North District schools participated in the National Run Day, raising a staggering $29,188.17 for cancer research in Canada.

A remarkable $6.6 million dollars was raised by more than 3,700 Ontario schools in 2008.

The Near North District School Board is extremely proud of all students, staff and volunteers who contributed to the success of the event. The Board looks forward to its schools participating in the next National School Run Day on September 25, 2009.
