OPP News Release

On Friday April 10, 2009 at 2:35 PM officers from the Espanola OPP Detachment responded to a fatal motor vehicle collision on Highway 17 at Hannah Road in May Twp.
Mr. Daniel Savard, 68 years of age, a resident of Massey, Ontario was driving a 1998 Ford Taurus when he travelled into oncoming traffic and struck a tractor trailer. Mr. Savard was air lifted to the St-Joseph’s Hospital in Sudbury where he succumb to his injuries.
The investigation is continuing with the assistance of an OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigator.
