Students congratulated for handling dangerous situation well

Early Thursday afternoon, a gas leak was identified in the proximity of Vincent Massey Public School in North Bay. The gas leak is being repaired and gas to the location has been shut off.

Students were outside during recess when the leak was discovered and returned to their classrooms a short time later, once the school was checked and deemed safe by the gas company and fire officials on-site.

The staff and students of Vincent Massey Public School are to be congratulated on how they handled this situation.
