Chippewa students enter the Dragon's Den

Chippewa Business students were able to be a part of the CBC Dragon’s Den audition team that was in North Bay yesterday.

The Business Specialist High Skills Major Students were involved with registering and screening “pitchers” before they entered the audition. Although the students were not “pitching” their innovations and ideas personally, they did have a chance to see how the process works behind the scenes of the popular Canadian Television show.

Students were able to meet with CBC producer Michelle MacMillan and ask questions regarding the television broadcasting industry. They were able to develop an understanding of the level of work and commitment required not only to develop a business plan but also produce a television show.
